That Dumpling Girl
Who Doesn't Like Trying Authentic Asian Food Delivered At Their Doorstep? Certainly Not Me. That Too When I'm Certain that The Skill Gone in Creating This Comes From A Credible Source. @thatdumplinggirl Is The Brainchild Of Ms. Megha Polali Who Upon Returning From Dubai, Set Up Shop To Begin Flexing The Cooking Chops Acquired There.
You Can Order Only Via WhatsApp, And Her Food Notoriously Gets Sold Out Within Minutes Of Announcement. So It Was An Achievement Unlocked When I Was Able To Successfully Place An Order One Day.
Here's What I Had:
1) Noodle Dumpling Bowl - Rs 350
2) Spicy Chicken Dumplings - Rs 200
About The Food, It Came In A Well Assembled Package, With The Ingredients Separated, To Give Us The DIY Momo Experience. The Sticky Notes On Each Container Mentioned The Item And Its Role.
When Finished Assembling, The Noodle Dumpling Bowl Had A Lovely Aroma To Begin With. I Found The Shiitake Mushrooms (Rare In Mangalore) To Be A Tad Chewy, But The Egg Noodles Soaked In The Broth Were Just Perfect. Speaking Of The Thin Broth, It Was Quite Good As Well, With A Fresh Addition Of Spring Onions And Tangy Chili Oil. Another Plus Point Was the Soft Boiled Pickled Eggs, Which I Relished.
The Noodles She Uses Are Store Bought As Of Now, But She Plans To Cook Authentic Egg Noodles On Her Own In The Near Future.
Coming To The Chicken Dumplings, The Red Brothy Sauce Provided to Pour Over It All, Lacked A Bit Of Zing Although Being Flavoursome. The Dumplings And The Meat Inside Were Steamed Well Though.
